Donc Films is a film production company founded by two Venezuelan women: Bárbara Hertiman, an editor with 15 years of experience in editing and post-production, and María Carolina Agüero, an executive producer with over 20 years of experience.
As professionals from Latin America, we have developed a strong network of collaborations across the region, fostering a bilateral film market between Europe and Latin America.
Based in Occitanie, we collaborate with other local production companies, creating co-productions that leverage both regional expertise and international opportunities.
Our work revolves around universal stories on migration, identity, and resilience, connecting cultures and strengthening artistic and economic exchanges.
Donc ! On filme !
Since 2011, I have explored video art and documentary storytelling across Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina, refining my perspective both behind the camera and in the editing room.
Now based in France, I create films that challenge conventions, inspired by a non-linear journey that has shaped my unique language.
With over 20 films and documentaries in Venezuela, I have worked as a production manager on award-winning projects like The Family (Cannes Critics' Week), Desde Allá (Golden Lion, Venice), and The Shadow of the Catire (Grand Prize, Warsaw Film Festival).
I've collaborated with TNT Latin America, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and more. Based in France since 2021, I now serve on the documentary selection committee for the Biarritz Latin America Festival.
